Several Palestinians were killed or injured today in an Israeli attack on a tent sheltering displaced people in Khan Younis, Gaza, Hamas-run media said.
The Israeli military said they were studying the report. There has been no official statement from the Gaza Health Ministry on the official death toll. Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale massacre by bombing the camps of displaced people in Khan Younis.
“This horrific massacre killed and injured more than 100 people, including civilian emergency workers,” a statement by the Hamas-led Gaza government’s media office said.
Pulau Tioman has become the first island in Malaysia to build Light Rail Transit (LRT) coaches as a building material, a milestone recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) under the category of buildings and structures.
The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, presided over the launch ceremony of ‘MBOR: Malaysia’s First LRT Coach Reef’, which was held today at the Berjaya Tioman Resort here.
Meanwhile, Yasa General Manager Fakhrul Islam Juhali said the effort to destroy two LRT coaches involved 60 divers.
According to Fakhrul, the site was designed to promote the sustainability of its aquatic species by creating a breeding ground for fish and other aquatic species. “We also hope that the swimming pool will boost the local economy by attracting tourists to Pulau Tioman,” he said.
Fakhrul said Pulau Tioman was chosen for the event because of its high water level and its importance as a major tourist attraction in Pahang. “As the largest of the nine islands that make up the Pulau Tioman Marine Park, the island offers activities such as snorkeling and snorkeling, as well as excursions that take visitors to the fascinating marine environment,” said he said.
